For many customers, Beau Musohwa was simply the friendly security guard they saw whenever they visited our Megabuild Lifestyle branch. His smile, positive attitude and willingness to assist made him a familiar face to many.
Some even commented that they would love to see him in a Megabuild uniform one day.
Today, that wish has become a reality.
Beau is now part of the Pupkewitz Megabuild family, beginning a new chapter in a journey shaped by perseverance, hard work and the determination to keep moving forward.
Born on 15 March 1986 in the Lusese area of the Zambezi Region, Beau grew up as one of eight children. He began primary school in 1992 and completed Grade 12 in 2006.
His working journey has taken him through several industries and roles. He worked in landscaping, progressed to a supervisory position in the cleaning industry and later spent a significant part of his career in security. His experience included patrol duties, armed response, and training involving firearms and K9 operations.
But his journey was not without its challenges.
Beau experienced a lengthy period without employment before coming across an advertisement for an opportunity at Pupkewitz Megabuild, both on a notice board and online.
For him, securing the opportunity meant much more than simply starting a new job.
“I felt very excited and proud of myself because it was a blessing from God after I had struggled for many years without a job,” Beau shared
Since joining Megabuild, Beau says the experience has helped build his confidence and given him a renewed sense of purpose.
“I feel more involved, and it has increased my self-esteem. I feel honoured to be working with professional people,” he said.
That enthusiasm has not gone unnoticed.
According to his Branch Manager, Beau immediately stood out for his willingness to learn about Megabuild's products, the customer service he provides, his positive attitude and readiness to help wherever he can.
Although he is still learning the business, his Branch Manager says he is picking things up quickly and actively communicating with and learning from his colleagues.
And Beau is already looking ahead. He hopes to continue developing within the business, with the ambition of becoming a salesperson in the future.
Perhaps what says the most about Beau is something his Branch Manager noticed long before he joined the team: his smile, his willingness to greet others and the appreciation he continues to show for being given an opportunity. The message from his Branch Manager to Beau is simple:
“Keep on believing, stay committed and do what you do best, live your dream.”
Beau's journey is still being written. From landscaping and cleaning to security and now becoming part of the Megabuild team, every chapter has contributed to the person he is today.
For those who remember the friendly security guard at Megabuild Lifestyle, the familiar smile is still there, only now, he's wearing Megabuild colours. And this is only the beginning.
